Fabulous Festive Bakes - with Howard Middleton (SOLD OUT)
Join Howard Middleton, a contestant on the Great British Bake Off, to learn how to produce a range of Fabulous Festive Bakes that just happen to be gluten free. This baking course is a fantastic introduction to gluten free baking but is equally interesting to bakers looking to experiment with a range of alternative baking ingredients and techniques.
On this full day "hands on" baking course you will work alongside Howard Middleton from the GBBO to make:
• "Posh" festive canapes - delicious home made mini blinis with a range of toppings to choose from such as smoked salmon and dill, pickled red cabbage with beetroot or herring and caviar
• Spectacular kumquat and almond festive galette - a show stopping centrepiece for your festive table
• Mini individual snowmen carrot cake muffins
Howard will give you insights into his time on the British Baking Institution which is the Great British Bake Off and will also bring along one of the following and demo the other on the day for you to try:
• Seasonal hot water crust pie filled with chestnuts, parsnips and sun dried tomatoes
• Narnia biscuits - magically mouthwatering buttery biscuits with white chocolate, raspberries and a hint of Turkish Delight
You will get to take home everything you make on the day along with all of the recipes.
There will be plenty of time to chat to Howard Middleton about his baking journey and how he has developed a love of gluten free baking, pick up lots of tips on how gluten free needn't be a poor substitute and can taste as good as the "real thing".
Howard will also have copies of his book "Gluten Free Baking with Howard Middleton" for sale and he is happy to sign copies on the day and include a personalised message.
