Artisan Bread Making Course (SOLD OUT)
This is a relaxed introduction to artisan bread making course held at the weekend. It is a "hands on" bread making course for both the novice or "newbie" bread baker as well as those of you wanting to improve your breadmaking technique.....so be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get baking! The course is taken by Dave Foster, who runs his own artisan microbakery in Stocksbridge on the edge of the Peak District. Dave is a passionate bread baker and advocate of the Real Bread Campaign.
On the breadmaking course Dave will guide you through the processes of:
mixing, kneading, proving, shaping and baking. In particular he explains the different methods of kneading including the English, French and no knead methods
He will show you how to create your own artisan looking bread by steaming, slashing and topping with seeds, grains or flour.
You will then go on to create :
• A truly artisan loaf proved in a Brotform with ridges and lightly floured finish
• Artisan dinner rolls shaped and customised to your own specifications
• Classic Yorkshire Tea Cakes, giving you experience of working with an enriched dough
This is the perfect introduction to artisan bread making techniques and a great fun "hands on" breadmaking course.

This course includes refreshments and an informal light lunch.
