Peak District - Artisan Foodie Tour (SOLD OUT)

Hartingtons artisan foodie tour begins with a warm welcome at our School of Food with tea/coffee and biscuits and a chance to meet your fellow foodies. We will then walk the short distance to Bakewell's famous Farmers Market (now the 2nd biggest in the UK) for a VIP tour. Our morning tour gives you unrivalled access to the artisan food producers on show and you will have the oppotrtunity to meet a number of them and taste their products. Having organised artisan food fairs in the Peak District and Derbyshire we will be able to give you unique insights into the characters, the back stories and the artisan methods of production. After a tour of over 80 artisan food stalls you will then be taken on a short artisan foodie tour of Bakewell. On the tour you will see where the world famous Bakewell Pudding was created by mistake along with unique foodie attractions of this thriving Peak District town, which is becoming a real "foodie" attraction. Thornbridge Ales, Bloomers Original Bakewell Puddings, John Hattersley Wines, Holdsworth Chocolates, Fredericks Ice Cream, Critchlows Butchers, The Old Original Farmers Market Shop and the Wee Dram Whisky shop are all in the town.
You will then return to our Artisan School of Food where you will be treated to an unrivalled 3 course Artisan Ploughmans Lunch featuring local cheeses, chutneys, hams, pork pies and locally sourced artisan bread accompanied by local ales and Renishaw Hall wines.
The day finishes with a short question and answer session about what you have seen on the tour and have tasted on the Artisan Ploughmans Lucnh with complimentary teas and coffees available before you leave.
