Bakewell gets it's very first Baking Festival and Hartingtons will be at the heart of the weekend of events. During the Bakewell Baking Festival there will be a Baking Masterclass with celebrity baker Danny Bryden (semi finalist on the Great British Bake Off) on the Sunday and a series of baking demonstrations and workshops on the Saturday. Hartingtons School of Food will be open to the public from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on Saturday 8th June as part of the Bakewell Baking Festival. Throughout the day there will be free baking and sugar craft demonstrations as well as freshly baked scones and a range of cake toppers for sale. In addition Hartingtons will be showcasing some of their exciting new range of baking courses including a wide range of speciality breadmaking courses, a patisserie masterclass and a sugar craft and cake decorating course.
On the day charismatic former Masterchef finalist Janine Lishman-Peat will be demonstrating her baking skills showing visitors how to make perfect sweet and savoury scones which can be bought fresh from the oven. Janine will also talk about her time on this iconic cookery programme reliving some of the moments that led her to within a whisker of being crowned as the Masterchef winner.
